White City Ashgabat 2026 Concludes with New Partnerships, Strategic Dialogue and a Shared Vision for Sustainable Urban Development
The International Conference and Exhibition "White City Ashgabat 2026" has successfully concluded, bringing together government leaders, international organisations, investors, urban planners, architects, technology providers and development partners from around the world for two days of high-level dialogue, strategic engagement and practical cooperation.
Held under the theme "Architecture • Innovation • Sustainable Development", the event demonstrated the growing role of Ashgabat as a platform for international cooperation on the future of cities, infrastructure and sustainable urban development.
More than 800 delegates from 55 countries participated in the conference and exhibition programme, alongside over 180 companies representing a broad range of sectors including construction, energy, infrastructure, technology, manufacturing, finance and urban services.
Throughout the event, discussions focused on some of the most important issues shaping modern cities, including sustainable infrastructure, energy systems, industrial development, digital transformation, investment attraction, urban resilience and human capital development.
One of the key messages emerging from White City Ashgabat 2026 was that successful urban development increasingly depends on the integration of multiple sectors. Modern cities are no longer defined solely by architecture and construction. They are shaped by the effective interaction of energy systems, industrial capacity, digital infrastructure, transportation networks, environmental sustainability and people-centred development.
The conference programme featured participation from senior representatives of international organisations, including the United Nations, UN-Habitat, UNDP, EBRD and IRENA, alongside leading global companies and institutions from Europe, Asia, the Middle East and beyond.
Particular attention was given to the role of investment and international partnership in supporting long-term urban transformation. High-level discussions highlighted the importance of creating sustainable frameworks that encourage innovation, strengthen competitiveness and support economic diversification.
Importantly, White City Ashgabat 2026 delivered tangible outcomes. During the event, a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed across sectors including energy, digital infrastructure, industrial development, transportation, engineering services and technology cooperation. These agreements reflect the practical nature of the discussions and the growing interest of international companies in engaging with Turkmenistan's development priorities.
The event also provided an important platform for business engagement. Hundreds of B2B and B2G meetings facilitated direct dialogue between government institutions, investors, technology providers and project developers, creating opportunities for future cooperation and investment.
Another significant outcome was the strengthening of international dialogue on sustainable urban development. Discussions held during the UN High-Level Roundtable and thematic sessions reinforced the importance of international cooperation in addressing common urban challenges and advancing the objectives of sustainable development.
White City Ashgabat 2026 further demonstrated the growing international interest in Turkmenistan's development agenda and the country's commitment to creating modern, sustainable and globally connected urban environments.
As preparations begin for future editions, the success of White City Ashgabat 2026 provides a strong foundation for continued international cooperation, knowledge exchange and investment engagement.
The event has confirmed that Ashgabat is increasingly emerging as a regional platform where global expertise, innovative technologies and strategic investment can be translated into practical solutions that support sustainable urban growth and long-term economic development.
The Organising Committee extends its sincere appreciation to all participants, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, partners, government institutions, international organisations and media representatives whose contribution helped make White City Ashgabat 2026 a success.
We look forward to welcoming the international community back to Ashgabat for White City Ashgabat 2027 as the dialogue on the future of sustainable cities continues.
