Oil production increased at “Goturdepe” field in Turkmenistan using gas lift method
One of the main methods of oil production at the fields of Turkmenistan in recent years is the gas lift method.
The “Goturdepe” field has become a clear demonstration of the effectiveness of this method. Currently, more than 500 oil wells are operating there using gas lift, ussatnews.com reports.
The “Goturdepe” gas compressor station, with a capacity of 12 million cubic meters of gas per day, has been operating without failures since its commissioning. It is equipped with modern automatic and electronic control systems, which allows for the efficient collection, purification and increase of gas pressure for delivery to oil wells.
In the first six months of this year, more than 1,55 billion cubic meters of gas were prepared for lifting, which made it possible to increase oil production at the Goturdepe field to 580 thousand tons per year.
The launch of the carbon dioxide production plant is an important achievement, since the gas produced is used to extinguish fires at compressor stations and in the production of carbonated drinks, the source notes.
