Construction Balkan Province Builds More Than 260 Industrial and Social Facilities
More than 260 major industrial and social facilities are currently under construction in Turkmenistan’s Balkan Province, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymyrat Annamammedov said during an off-site Cabinet meeting on Friday.
According to Turkmenistan’s official media, construction sites in the region are being supplied with high-quality cement and other building materials by enterprises and organizations under the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production.
The deputy prime minister also said that enterprises and organizations of the Energy Ministry are carrying out scheduled maintenance work on operating power plants and transmission lines to ensure uninterrupted and reliable electricity supplies to consumers in the region.
According to the report, construction of several facilities is continuing in order to meet growing electricity demand in the region. Enterprises under the Ministry of Motor Roads are also carrying out repairs and modernization work on existing highways and bridges.
Annamammedov also reported that construction work is continuing on the Turkmenbashi–Garabogaz–Kazakhstan border highway in accordance with a decree issued by Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
In addition, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Mammedov said during the meeting that two kindergartens, two secondary schools, a health center and a renovated Maternal and Child Health Center are scheduled to be commissioned this year.
